Lucky Street wins the Perth Stakes

Lucky Street has firmed itself as the Karrakatta Stakes favourite with an imposing lead and win victory in the Perth Stakes at Ascot this afternoon.

After jumping well, jockey Paul Harvey was caught three wide early and had to make a decision to sit or lead, but ultimately urging the galloper forward, to lead all the way.

After his scintillating performance in the two year old Magic Millions, Lucky Street showed his flexibility again with a pro-active ride, spacing the opposition by an impressive 2.5 lengths.

Senso improved immensely on his disappointing Magic Millions effort, sticking on very well to finish second. Raw galloper Pushin’ Shapes keeps impressing, with another excellent finish, running third after looming to challenge to the favourite but ceasing on the run home.

Lucky Street has now won three from four career starts, winning in 1.05.87 and by 2.5 lengths.
