Lucky Street

Mar 28, 2015

Star two year old Lucky Street has annihilated his opponents in the Amelia Park-Karrakatta Plate, winning the group 2 event for trainer Trevor Andrews and jockey Paul Harvey.

After imposing victories in the two year old Magic Millions and the Perth Stakes, Lucky Street took his opponents to task today, winning by an incredible 4.5 lengths.

The West Australian bred colt by Oratorio, was sent forward by Paul Harvey and from there the race was over, leaving Mystic Maid, Showy Chloe and Senso to fight out the minor placing’s.

The David Harrison trained Mystic Maid was resigned to a narrow second in the Gimcrack Stakes behind Chantski, indication the 1200 metres was ideal for her and she supported that today with a brilliant second.

Showy Chloe for Jason Pateman and apprentice Mitchell Pateman was superb from the rear of the field, grabbing third from Senso right on the line.

Lucky Street has now won four from his five career starts, winning in an electric 1.10.38 and by 4.5 lengths.
