Ridgeport graduate All Play signed off a winning treble for Champion WA Sire Playing God at the Group 1 Northerly Stakes meeting on Saturday.
He was bolting for Shaun O’Donnell on the corner and, once in the clear, levelled up to fellow Ridgeport graduate Sunlit Fresco (Fighting Sun) to score by a half-length in the TABtouch Hcp.
All Play (Photo / Western Racepix) was a $110,000 buy for trainer Trevor Andrews at the 2022 Perth Magic Millions. Saturday’s third city win in just 8 starts has increased his bank-balance to $183,000 including Westspeed Bonuses of $70,000 for a syndicate that includes his wife Joanne and clients Ken Gregson and Ross Drage.
All Play raced without a lugging bit, cross-over nose band and off-side bubble cheeker. “It was another great ride by Shaun and that’s put to bed the idea he can’t run out a strong 1100m,” Andrews declared. “He’s got a motor but needs to learn to relax.
“We’ve sent him back to the trials and made some gear changes although the whole family can be a bit hot the handle. The are plenty of opportunities ahead including the Westspeed Platinum Day at Ascot in a fortnight.”
All Play was bred by Ridgeport owner Santo Guagliardo in partnership with Mogumber Stud after his dam was sold for $16,000 carrying a positive to Playing God at the 2020 Mungrup Stud Dispersal. Castle Keep (Oratorio) is a half-sister to G2 Perth Cup (2400m) winner Lords Ransom (Jeune) and a full-sister to LR Aquanita Stakes (1800m) winner Palace Intruder (Oratorio).
